Contract Web Designer (Part-Time)
We are a website design and development agency specializing in custom, strategic web experiences for mid-sized to enterprise-level clients. Our work is bespoke—built from the ground up with a strong emphasis on UX, performance, and long-term scalability.
We’re looking for a senior-level contract Web Designer (1099) to support our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to act as a strategic partner on projects.
You’ll be involved from early-stage strategy through final UI design, helping shape how complex websites are structured, experienced, and executed. The ideal candidate combines strong visual design skills with UX thinking and strategic insight.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of wireframes, user flows, and site structures
- Contribute to website strategy, including page hierarchy, content organization, and user experience decisions
- Design high-fidelity UI in Figma for custom websites
- Translate complex requirements into clear, scalable design systems and page templates
- Create 10–15 core page templates that scale across large websites (100+ pages)
- Ensure all designs meet WCAG accessibility standards and are ready for development
- Collaborate closely with internal team members and developers for smooth handoff and execution
Qualifications
- US-based or able to work within US time zones
- Senior-level experience in web design (agency experience preferred)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating custom, strategic website work (not template-based)
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma
- Deep understanding of UX/UI principles, including site architecture and user flows
- Ability to contribute to and guide web strategy, not just execute designs
- Experience designing complex, multi-page websites for mid-market or enterprise clients
- Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards, with the ability to design compliant interfaces
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Comfortable working on complex, large-scale websites (10–15 core templates scaling to 100+ pages)
- Thinks in systems, not just pages
- Brings both design craft and strategic perspective to projects
- Thrives in a collaborative, high-quality, custom work environment
Role Details
- Contract (1099)
- Part-time: 10–15 hours per week (minimum 10 hours required)
- Flexible schedule, with overlap in US working hours preferred
