Marketing Content Producer (Part-Time)

Overview
We’re a website design and development agency seeking a highly organized, technically fluent Marketing Content Producer to lead the creation of high-quality marketing materials across multiple channels.
This contractor will own the production process for key recurring content initiatives, including monthly articles, quarterly podcasts, bi-annual case studies, monthly email campaigns, and occasional social media posts. The ideal candidate combines strong technical writing skills with the ability to translate subject matter expert insights into compelling, strategic marketing content.
This is a production and orchestration role — you do not need to be the face or voice of the brand, but you will drive the process from concept to publication.
Responsibilities
Content Development
- Assist in the production of 1 quarterly podcast, planning the topic, coordinating participant schedules, and making minor adjustments to the audio file for publication.
- Write 1 in-depth article per month focused on website strategy, design, development, UX, performance, or related digital topics.
- Produce 6-8 case studies per year, working with project managers to compile project information and craft compelling narratives.
- Develop 2 emails per quarter to our client base highlighting recent blogs, articles, updates, and service offerings.
- Support occasional social media posts repurposed from blogs, podcasts, or case studies.
Article Production (Monthly)
- Develop article topic focused on website strategy, design, development, UX, performance, or related digital topics.
- Outline article and conduct structured interviews with internal subject matter experts and partners.
- Transform technical discussions into accessible, authoritative content.
- Ensure messaging accuracy while maintaining clarity and narrative flow.
Podcast Production (Quarterly)
- Develop podcast themes aligned with agency positioning and current industry trends.
- Identify and coordinate internal and/or external participants.
- Create interview outlines and thoughtful question frameworks.
- Schedule and manage recordings.
- Perform basic audio editing (clean-up, trimming, light production).
- Publish episodes using our podcast hosting software.
- Repurpose podcast content into blog and email formats.
Note: You are not required to host or appear on the podcast.
Email Marketing (1-2 Quarterly)
- Produce 1-2 quarterly email newsletters, repurposing blog and podcast content into digestible, engaging campaigns.
- Build and schedule emails in HubSpot (or collaborate with team members if needed).
- Ensure messaging aligns with agency positioning and marketing goals.
Graphic Production (Monthly)
- Experience with graphic design is not required but highly preferred if a candidate has the ability to self-produce graphics in Figma for blog cover images, podcast cover images, email header images, simple social posts (etc).
- If a candidate does not have graphic design experience, the candidate should feel confident managing and providing direction for a designer to collaborate with on all content pieces.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to simplify complex digital concepts.
- General understanding of:
- Website design and development processes UX/UI principles.
- CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, etc.)
- Website performance, SEO, and digital marketing fundamentals.
- Experience interviewing subject matter experts and developing content from those conversations.
- Experience managing content production workflows independently.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently without close supervision.
- Basic podcast editing skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Preferred
- Experience working with or within a web agency.
- Familiarity with HubSpot email marketing software.
- Familiarity with Figma or other design platforms.

- Content is technically accurate, strategically aligned, and clearly written.
- Podcasts run smoothly with minimal oversight.
- Email campaigns are concise, engaging, and consistently published.
- Case studies effectively showcase client outcomes and agency expertise.
- Marketing production feels organized and proactive — not reactive.
Compensation
Hourly or per-project compensation (to be discussed). Contractor will operate as a 1099 independent contractor.
